Professional tour of the Fraport Aviation Academy

Fraport Aviation Academy and its partners offer a wide range of training, in the field of aviation, in the field of crisis management as well as protection and rescue. There are currently more than 36 programs available for all aviation employees, taking place at various locations across Slovenia, Germany and Bulgaria, as well as at the locations of individual clients.

The friendly staff of the Aviation Academy will take you on a tour of a new facility, purposely built for training airport staff from all over the world. You will be taken to classrooms with modern equipment, a crisis command centre, Rosenbauer tactical driving simulator, virtual solutions and a garage with equipment and vehicles. The training ground, which covers ​​approximately 13,000 m2, will bring you face to face with an A320-size firefighting simulator, a mobile helicopter simulator, the latest model of the Panther 6x6 airport fire truck and the CRJ200 type aircraft, which is used for aircraft towing training.

The program is intended for voluntary fire brigades, professional fire brigades and other adults interested in airport firefighting, airport staff training, areas of crisis management as well as protection and rescue.

Fraport Aviation Academy tour for children

The Aviation Academy also offers a special tour for children. They will start their tour of the facility in one of the classrooms, where they will learn an exciting story about a firefighter named Frank. They will then, with the help of Frank's hints, go on a treasure hunt and so get to know the premises of the Aviation Academy, the training ground, and get acquainted with the basics of fire safety. Correctly answering the questions will allow them to find a real treasure. The program will end with a short art workshop, where the children will colour colouring books, make their own Dalmatian named Flik and design their firefighting helmet.

The program is intended for kindergartens and primary schools, associations and other organized groups of children aged 5 to 11.

Booking the tour

The tours can be tailored to the wishes of each group and are carried out by prior arrangement. Due to large interest, we recommend booking at least two months in advance. The maximum size for a group is 30 persons.
